In 2021, we decided to follow our dreams and leave behind what we knew, what was comfortable, to pursue what we believe God put on our hearts. We wanted, or really, needed space and the ability to be in nature and not the hustle and noise of the big city (we lived in the suburbs of the state capital). We wanted to know more about what was in our food and raise our girls in a simpler, back to the good ole days kind of town. God brought us to a little farm with a movie like house, in a tiny town, on a street that will make you grin every time you say it. And this is where we now live out our dream.

God has provided us the land and opportunity to raise our own beef cattle, tiny Nigerian Dwarf/Pygmy goats, a variety of chickens, bees, cats, dogs, and even a horse for a little bit. We also have a garden and established asparagus, muscadines, and blueberry bushes. And trees, lots of trees! We have the privilege of homeschooling our girls and eating homecooked meals from food we have grown or preserved throughout the year.

We want to share a look into our daily lives to encourage you in your own walk that you can learn new things, make hard moves, and watch God teach you and take you to places you’ve never even imagined!
